"P" Day - Whole class reward

As a reward for good behaviour Rooms 3 and 1 celebrated with a "P" day on Friday the 9th of March.  Here are some of the things we did...

P WORD BRAINSTORM
Everyone brought along something starting with the letter 'P' and shared this with the other children.  We had many different things like pigs, pirates, pavlovas and plants.  We did a whole class brainstorm and wrote up the wonderful 'P' vocabularly on the board.  Preston brought a phone and we discussed the interesting 'fuh' sound that 'ph' makes!

PIKELETS

"Shaking up the pikelet mix"
We mixed up instant pikelet mix and poured them into the pan.  The children were interested as to why there were bubbles in the cooked pikelets.  Mrs Hargest explained that the bubbles was the oxygen in the mixture.  Mrs M cooked the pikelets perfectly.
