Hockey!

Brenda has been teaching hockey skills to the Room 3 children!  The children have learnt how to hold the stick correctly and dribble the ball in a controlled way.  We are really good at playing 'rob the nest' hockey style.  Thanks Brenda!

Swimming 2013

The Room 3 children are swimming for 2 weeks at the moment.  This is a chance to learn new skills and perfect existing ones!  Thank you to all the parents who have been helping the children get dressed!  This helps immensely! Here are the photos...

Junior Athletics Sports

On Wednesday the 13th of March the Room 3 children participated in Athletics sports.  We had a wonderful day, the weather was nice and the turn-out of whanau and support was amazing!  The children have become very good at  beginning techniques of long jump, high jump, shot put and discus.  This builds a great foundation for when the children get older and move to the Senior sports!  Check out the photos!
Wonderful supporters!

On Friday the 8th of March the junior children ran their sprint races!  The children had been practicing how to start a race correctly.... On your marks, get set, GO!  It was great to see so many families and supporters at the sprint races clapping and cheering on the wonderful children.  Gee the children were fast!  Check out the photographs!

Decorating biscuits

As part of our Term 1 Inquiry 'Caring for ourselves' we decided to decorate biscuits.  We needed to make the icing and move around different lolly stations waiting for our turn to decorate.  We did this because we think a big part of caring for ourselves is learning to share and take turns.  This is important because it is fair and how we should behave at home and school.  Being patient, sharing and taking turns is caring!

Here we are calmly moving around - sharing and taking turns at decorating our biscuits

Look at us managing ourselves!

We like decorated biscuits - Aren't we clever!

Happy children!  Happy teachers!

Is there any biscuits left for Mrs M?  No...

Well done... You have made brilliant decorated biscuits!
