Term 2 Inquiry - Simple Machines - The Pulley

As part of our Term 2 Inquiry we have been learning about simple machines.  We had a problem... an elephant was stuck in a hole and we had to think of ways we could get it out safely using a machine.  We had lots of good ideas.  One of the main ideas was to pull out the elephant out with a crane.  A crane uses a 'pulley' system.  Check out our classroom pulley system!  We thought we would need a hundred people to be able to pull an elephant out with our class pulley.

The Farmer in the Dell
